The Skeletal Care Academy (SCA) formerly known as Skeletal Care Initiative is an education programme developed to ensure that patients with cancer-related bone disease to receive the highest standard of multiprofessional care, allowing them to enjoy fuller healthier lives.

2012:

  • 9th November 2012
    CECOG and SAKK organized a Skeletal Care Academy Meeting in Istanbul. In three workshops (Breast Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Lung Cancer and solid Tumors) 50 participants from 14 countries, worked on a consensus on diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and monitoring of SREs. The outcomes of the respective work streams will published as three separate papers (proposed title: “Provisional Clinical Opinions”) in peer-reviewed Journals.

2011:

  • 28-29 October 2011
    CECOG and SAKK organized the SCA Meeting again in Budapest with 116 participants from 15 countries ( including : Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Hungary, Kuwait, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Slovakian Republic, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey)The results will be published soon.
  • 25-26 February 2011
    SCA Annual Meeting in Madrid organized by the Medical Knowledge Group and CECOG

2010:

  • 29-30 October 2010
    CECOG and SAKK organized the SCA Meeting for smaller countries again in Vienna with 100 participants.
  • 12-13 March 2010
    SCA Annual Meeting in Paris organized by the Medical Knowledge Group and CECOG with 400 participants.

2009:

  • In November 2009, CECOG organized together with the SAKK a meeting in Zurich for 50 participants from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
  • In May 2009 CECOG organized together with the SAKK a SCA Meeting with 200 participants in Vienna.

2008:

  • November 2008, in Prague (100 participants)
